Congrats Kris and Eddie!!

This past weekend we had my friend Kris' wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and we had a blast. I am so happy that we could be part of their special day. Kris was such a beautiful bride. We are so happy for them and wish them all the best. It was nice to be able to see and hang out with my friends from college. My dress even managed to fit which was a relief! We danced the night away and were definitely exhausted by the time Sunday came, but it was well worth it.

Today we had our 32 week check up with an ultrasound. It is looking more and more like a c-section is in the cards for us, but our doctor still wants to do one more ultrasound. Right now she is still breech and the placenta is 1.7 cm off the cervix and it needs to be 2 cm. So it is close but not quite there. Regardless I want to do what is going to be the safest for everyone. She said that 2 cm is the minimum (they really would like 2 1/2 cm) so, it is still no guarantee but she said at that point we can try a regular delivery but in the end I could still end up having a c-section. So at 36 weeks we will have another ultrasound and make the call at that point. She said that if the placenta is exactally 2 cm away then Bryan and I can make the call if we want to try a normal delivery or if we want to just do the c-section. However, she is still breech so that also has to change. The doctor said that as the weeks go by there is less and less of a chance that she will turn. So I have accepted the fact that it will likely be a c-section.

The ultrasound was a lot of fun, but we weren't able to get a really clear picture of her face since our little stinker had her hands and feet in front of it. The ultrasound tech said she has a ton of hair! We also noticed that she has chubby little cheeks :) Everything looked great as far as her development goes. She is weighing in right now at about 4 pounds 2 ounces! The doctor also gave me the green light to travel to Virginia this week which I was thrilled about! Last appointment she was a little leary about me going but she said that she thinks I will be just fine since things have been uneventful up to this point :) So overall things are going really well and the nursery is pretty much done. Now we will just await her arrival patiently!! We are really looking forward to seeing everyone in Virginia and being able to spend time with family and friends! We are leaving on Thursday and flying into DC to spend a couple nights with Bonnie and then we will be heading down to Gloucester and Yorktown! Hope you are all doing well. Here are a couple of pictures from the ultrasound...they couldn't get many good pictures since she was hiding her little face!

This is a side shot of her face in 3D you can see her nose, eye, and half of her mouth. The big white area in front of her face is her leg (her foot is over her head), I guess she is using it as a pillow haha.

This is a picture of her head/brain/hair. You can see the hairs sticking off her head where the arrows are pointing. :)

Road Trip

This past weekend we decided to take a quick road trip down to Rolla, Missouri to visit Bryan's Mamaw. We had a great trip. On the way down we got stuck in road construction so it took us about 10 hours instead of 9. The trip home went really smooth though without any delays. We had a great trip. It was so nice to finally meet Bryan's Mamaw, Uncle Jim, cousin Megan and her 2 kids, and his Aunt Cindy. It was a really quick trip but well worth it! We have to take advantage of being able to pick up and go like that because it will soon change when our baby girl arrives!

Bryan has been busy looking for a job, we are just praying that something will come up. The nursery is getting there and is almost done! It is exciting to see it all come together and to think it will be just a few short months before she arrives! I have been feeling great overall. She has been moving a ton, to the point where we can see her little feet poke out. We have another appointment on Tuesday and they will do another ultrasound to see if she is still breech and if the placenta has moved. We are really looking forward to our trip out to Virginia next week! Here are some pictures of the nursery so far...

29 Week Appointment

So we had another appointment this week. It didn't exactally go how I had hoped it would but bottom line baby girl Bailey is doing great and healthy as can be! Now for the down side...they did another ultrasound since at my 20 week appointment the placenta was low lying (it's supposed to be at the top, mine is at the bottom). So they did another ultrasound which showed that the placenta is still hanging out at the bottom, which would mean I would need to have a c-section. It is obviously not what I want but I am just trying to remember what is important and that is a healthy baby. On top of it she has turned and is now breech so even if the placenta moves she also has to turn (at our 20 week ultrasound she was head down). The doctor said that a breech baby is very common with a low lying placenta. My doctor is not giving up yet, she said there is still time for it to move as the baby grows so we will do another ultrasound in 2 weeks and then every 4 weeks after that until delivery. On the up side it was fun having another ultrasound and being able to see her again. She was so funny she just kept playing with her toes. I wasn't able to see her face since she is folded in half and had her hands and feet covering her face. It was neat to see her little lungs working like crazy and practicing breathing. All of her organs looked great and she has been really active. We will keep you posted...

Other than that, Bryan is done traveling!!! This weekend there has been a lot of progress made in the nursery which has been fun. Bryan is working hard at getting it painted and it will hopefully be done today! The furniture for the nursery is here so as you can imagine I am getting really anxious to get it all moved in! I am officially done with school for the summer. It hasn't quite sunk in that I will be off work for the next 6 months. I am sure it will go fast as there is a lot I want to get done before our little peanut arrives! Hope everyone is doing well!
